El doctor Marco Almerí, especialista en Salud Pública, afirmó que acudir a un mitin electoral es igual que asistir a una fiesta COVID, ya que por las aglomeraciones es muy probable contraer la COVID-19.
“Hoy por hoy, acudir a un mitin es lo mismo que acudir a una fiesta covid-19. Es lo mismo que acudir a un “privadito”, es lo mismo que ir al Estado Nacional a alentar a la selección”, mencionó Almerí.
También, comentó que en la primera vuelta electoral los contagios del coronavirus habían bajado, sin embargo, debido a las visitas de los candidatos a diversas Regiones del Perú, no se ha podido continuar con el objetivo.
“En la primera vuelta ya estábamos en bajada de la meseta. Han pasado cincuenta días y no logramos la bajada; es probablemente la bajada de la segunda ola más larga de toda Latinoamérica. Los responsables de esto son los candidatos y partidos políticos que han participado en la primera y segunda vuelta”, afirmó.
“La tercera ola va a llegar con vacuna o sin vacuna, con mitin o sin mitin. Pero, la magnitud va a depender de este mal comportamiento de generar aglomeraciones”, añadió.
