El parlamentario del Frente Amplio Lenin Checco, se reunió con el Viceministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Ignacio Higueras Hare, con la finalidad de solicitar el informe de las misiones de Observadores Electorales de la Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA), la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) y de la Unión Europea, sobre el trabajo desarrollado durante las elecciones generales.
“Hemos solicitado informes de los organismos internacionales y queremos saber si aún permanecen en el Perú, para conocer sus opiniones frente a las alegaciones de supuesto fraude electoral; por su parte la cancillería se comprometió seguir contribuyendo en brindar toda la información con la finalidad de transparentar la contienda electoral dando la certeza a la ciudadanía que vivimos en un país democrático donde se respeta la voluntad del pueblo” manifestó el congresista Checco Chauca.
Cabe resaltar, que estamos atravesando un proceso electoral complejo, marcado por la pandemia y la polarización política aunado a los procedimientos interpuestos ante presuntas irregularidades lo que ha conllevado a recursos impugnatorios de ambos candidatos presidenciales de nuestro país, unido a las versiones que tratan de poner en duda la legitimidad de las elecciones.
