La Oficina Nacional de Procesos Electorales (ONPE) llevó a cabo hoy el sorteo de los miembros de mesas, titulares y suplentes para las Elecciones Generales del 11 de abril, designando a 518, 868 personas, en su mayoría, jóvenes, ya que son los menos vulnerables ante la COVID-19.

Esta acción se realizó en cada una de las 94 oficinas descentralizadas de procesos electorales (ODPE) a nivel nacional, bajo la observación de un notario público y, en algunas instancias, la de un juez de paz, añadiendo la asistencia de un representante del Jurado Electoral Especial, del Registro Nacional de Identificación y Estado Civil, de las Fuerzas Armadas y de la Policía Nacional del Perú.

Además, el organismo electoral informó que durante el proceso del sorteo, no se consideró a diez mesas de sufragio instaladas en el extranjero, ya que la Ley Orgánica de Elecciones (N° 26859), hace mención que en ciudades que cuenten con menos de 25 electores, no se aplica el mismo acto, ya que los votos serán recibidos directamente por un funcionario consular asistido. 

Y por mandato de la misma ley, en cada oficina electoral, el listado de miembros de mesa será publicado en espacios públicos de sus respectivos distritos y centros poblados de la circunscripción para la presentación de eventuales tachas, de la misma forma, se puso a disposición la modalidad de consultar directamente a través de su portal web:  https://www.consultamiembrodemesa.eleccionesgenerales2021.pe/.
