El expresidente Martin Vizcarra se pronunció en sus redes sociales ante la decisión del pleno del Congreso de inhabilitarlo para ejercer cualquier función pública durante 10 años, mencionando que se siente confiado con las medidas presentadas y afirmó que el Congreso “ha cometido una serie de violaciones al debido proceso”.

“Hace una semana, el viernes pasado, el Congreso de la República votó en el pleno a favor de mi inhabilitación para ser servidor público, para trabajar en función para el Estado, pero yo le digo a todas las personas que han confiado en mí y que han pedido que los represente en el Congreso de la República, estén tranquilos porque el Congreso ha cometido una serie de violaciones al debido proceso, a la ley y la Constitución”

“Tengo plena confianza que las medidas de amparo, la medida cautelar que hemos presentado ante las instancias correspondientes, va a revertir la decisión de este Congreso, pero imagínense, qué tal Congreso que tenemos”, comentó.

Cabe mencionar que Vizcarra fue el Candidato al Congreso por Somos Perú, a pesar de que fue inmunizado contra el coronavirus junto a su esposa Maribel Díaz, su hermano César Vizcarra y es investigado por delitos de tráfico de influencias, cohecho pasivo y colusión.

Se pronunció también indicando que el voto que existe una parte de la población peruana que le dio su voto de confianza para que ejerza como parlamentario, señalando que en el actual Congreso “no representan a los peruanos”.

“Este Congreso que no respeta las formas democráticas, que en pleno proceso electoral, sin cumplir las normas, descalifica a un contendor político y que viendo que más de 200 mil personas optaron por nuestra propuesta, simplemente, antidemocráticamente, ellos que son representantes de la población -y alrededor de 90 congresistas votaron por nuestra inhabilitación- no puede ser, estoy seguro que ellos no solamente en este acto sino en general, han perdido legitimidad, ellos no representan a los peruanos”, añadió.
