La viceministra de interculturalidad, Ángela Acevedo, informó que el Ministerio de Cultura en coordinación con el Ministerio de Salud, están brindando información sobre la vacuna a las poblaciones indígenas en su lengua materna.
“Tenemos 48 lenguas indígenas; pero, tenemos también 55 pueblos indígenas… Además, la población indígena amazónica ha sido la más golpeada por el COVID-19 y, por esta emergencia sanitaria que estamos viviendo, es que en la segunda fase se ha establecido a la población indígena”, mencionó Acevedo.
El viceministerio está coordinando dos etapas fundamentales para lograr la futura vacunación en estas poblaciones indígenas, la primera es la logística que se debe tener y la segunda es brindar información necesaria para desterrar mitos sobre el tema.
“Estamos brindando la información oportuna y veraz en general. Y lo que estamos construyendo para las comunidades indígenas, junto al MINSA, son los mensajes claves sobre la vacuna, para que la población pueda tomar una decisión informada”, afirmó.
También comunicó que más que rechazo hacia la vacuna, las poblaciones indígenas tienen desconfianza por toda la desinformación que ha llegado, “como a todas partes del país, y como Estado tenemos que brindar toda la información necesaria para que vean lo importante que es el proceso de vacunación”, añadió.
Cabe mencionar que el Ministerio de Cultura ha traducido más de 300 piezas comunicacionales de diferentes sectores, como salud, educación, el tema de los bonos, etc, para la comprensión y la igualdad de recepción de información para todos los peruanos.
