La Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional del Perú presentó tres nuevos materiales de su serie discográfica “Maestros Clásicos Peruanos”, como parte de conmemoran el Bicentenario de nuestra Independencia, el elenco nacional decidió rendir homenaje a importantes figuras que promovieron nuestro patrimonio musical sinfónico.
“Maestros Clásicos Peruanos” nace propiamente como una necesidad histórica producto del vacío documental discográfico de las principales obras orquestales nacionales. Fernando Valcárcel, director del elenco y principal responsable del proyecto, comenta “Era necesario y oportuno dejar un registro sonoro perdurable para que el público se identifique con un tipo de música, la académica en este caso, y pueda encontrar elementos propios de nuestra identidad”
El primer disco es sobre el piurano Garrido-Lecca. Su obra rompe con paradigmas compositivos en la misma medida que se nutre de las corrientes actuales sin abandonar los orígenes peruanos.
El segundo álbum, se basa a la trayectoria del huanuqueño Francisco Pulgar Vidal. En su repertorio se despliega una estética nacionalista con raíces andinas y ancestrales resultado de un singular interés por la historia y cultura peruanas, esto se puede apreciar en Chulpas y Nasca, son dos sinfonías comprendidas.
Finalmente, se trata del maestro puneño Theodoro Valcárcel, su construcción artística, volcada en las manifestaciones populares más profundas, logra empalmar recursos de la música culta europea con nuestro folklore nacional.
