Por parte de la Municipalidad de San Isidro, otorgará de forma gratuita contenedores a familias que deseen ser parte de esta iniciativa ambiental.

La Municipalidad de San Isidro, ha implementado como parte de su compromiso ambiental y de su gestión participativa, el programa “Recicla San Isidro” se basa a la entrega gratuita de dos contenedores para la separación adecuada de residuos sólidos reciclables.

Los contenedores son unifamiliares y tienen una capacidad de 80 litros. Se entregará un contenedor negro a cada familia para almacenar los residuos sólidos no aprovechables y un contenedor verde para almacenar los residuos sólidos aprovechables, tales como papel, cartón, cajas de tetrapak, envases de vidrio, envases de plástico y latas

Los residuos sólidos no aprovechables del contenedor negro se recogerán todos los días en los horarios ya establecidos, mientras que lo almacenado en el contenedor verde se recogerán una vez a la semana, de lunes a viernes, según corresponda a cada sector.

Los promotores ecológicos son los encargados del traslado de los contenedores desinfectados hasta el respectivo domicilio, donde no solo se le hará entrega de los mismos, sino que recibirán un kit de desinfección para su uso al momento de tener que sacar sus residuos.

Los residuos sólidos no aprovechables del contenedor negro se recogerán todos los días en los horarios ya establecidos, mientras que lo almacenado en el contenedor verde se recogerán una vez a la semana, de lunes a viernes, según corresponda a cada sector.

 En San Isidro, se generan cerca de 122.90 toneladas de residuos diariamente, buscando a través de esta iniciativa reducir la contaminación ambiental, al someter materiales usados a un proceso de transformación o aprovechamiento para que puedan ser nuevamente utilizados.

Se estima que cerca de 10 mil vecinos sean parte de esta campaña del programa “Recicla San Isidro”, que busca reducir progresivamente el uso de las bolsas y así generar impactos positivos para el ambiente y conservar nuestro distrito.
