En el marco de los dieciseisavos de final de la Copa Bicentenario 2021, Unión Comercio ganó, gustó y goleó 4-1 a Alianza Universidad en el Estadio San Marcos. Gracias a los goles de Noguera, Muñóz, Ibargüen y Rengifo, el equipo de Nueva Cajamarca avanzó en la competencia y empieza a soñar con el máximo galardón.
Un partido que tuvo un inicio bastante parejo, siendo los dirigidos por Ronny Revollar los que tuvieron un mejor manejo del balón. Sin embargo, la falta de efectividad de ambos combinados estuvo bastante lejana y las ocasiones fueron desperdiciadas.
No sería sino hasta los 44 minutos cuando en un balón parado, Noguera logra conectar el cabezazo a la mala salida del portero Diego Morales, convirtiendo el primero de la tarde. De esta manera se irían al descanso.
Para la segunda mitad otra sería la historia y Alianza Universidad fue en busca del empate. Pero en esa intención el cuadro de Huánuco dejó espacios y sobre los 56′ Julián Muñóz consiguió el segundo luego de una gran habilitación de Neira por la banda izquierda.
No obstante, las cosas se ponían emocionantes cuando llegó el descuento de Alianza Universidad mediante Renato Espinoza. Con las cosas bastante apretadas todo parecía ponerse cuesta arriba para el ‘Poderoso de Altomayo’, pero a los 73′, una falta dentro del área sería cobrada por el juez para que poco después, Ides Ibargüen coloque el tercero.
La fiesta en cambio no podía estar completa y a los 86 minutos, en un contragolpe letal, Dustin Rengifo terminaría de sentenciar el encuentro.
Con este resultado, Unión Comercio firmó su presencia en los octavos de final de la Copa Bicentenario 2021, esperando a su siguiente rival, que saldrá del ganador del duelo entre Alianza Lima y Cultural Santa Rosa.
