Por la última fecha de la Fase 1, Cusco FC pudo cortar su mala racha y, por fin, logró conseguir su primera victoria ante Deportivo Binacional. Los dirigidos por Claudio Vivas mostraron superioridad de principio a fin para quedarse con el marcador final de 3-1 en la VIDENA.
Un duelo clave para ambas escuadras, ya que se encontraban en los últimos lugares de la Tabla Acumulada. Esto lo tenía más claro Cusco FC, quien se puso por delante en el marcador tras anotación de Rizzo a los 19 minutos. No obstante, el fantasma de la sequía se victoria se hizo presente a los 21′ para decretar un penal a favor de Binacional.
El cuadro del «Poderoso del Sur» tuvo su oportunidad para emparejar las cosas y desde el punto de penal apareció Johan Arango para marcar el 1-1. Un golpe duro para Cusco FC, quien comenzaba a verse replegado tras las constantes llegadas de Binacional. No obstante, una recuperación en mediocampo permitió que Carranza asista de gran forma a Rivera, quien quedó mano a mano con Raúl Fernández para volver a estar delante en el marcador (2-1).
Para el complemento, el juego bajó su intensidad con un Binacional más elevado al ataque. Cusco FC se mostró más ordenado y también logró generar ocasiones de gol en campo rival. Todo tuvo que aguardar hasta los 67′, donde Rossi anotó el tercero definitivo para así celebrar la primera victoria del equipo en este 2021 (3-1).
De esta manera, Cusco FC escala en la tabla con ocho unidades y deja en el fondo a Binacional con cuatro puntos. Momento difícil para el elenco de Juliaca, quien no encuentra la fórmula para salir del mal momento.
