Desde un inicio, el cuadro bajopontino se hizo del control del balón e impuso su ritmo sin mayores problemas, aprovechando los espacios que dejo la volante del cuadro de Juliaca.
Después de una combinación entre Ávila y Madrid, Christofer Gonzales fue el encargado de romper la paridad, al capitalizar un despeje a medias del portero Raúl Fernández y con fuerte disparo marcar el primer gol de Sporting Cristal en el partido.
Binacional trató de reaccionar y buscaba hacer daño con la velocidad de sus jugadores, pero estos fueron bien controladas por la zaga rimense. En el final del primer tiempo, Távara se encargó de aumentar la cuenta con una exquisita definición ante la salida del portero sureño.
Para el segundo tiempo, Cristal siguió siendo el dueño de las acciones y reflejaba ese dominio con más goles. Omar Merlo sacaba provecho de la pasividad en las marcas de la defensa rival y marcaba sin problemas el tercero del compromiso.
Con esa ventaja, Binacional, que en ese momento ya se encontraba con uno menos por expulsión de Ángel Pérez, pareció ya entregarse en el campo de juego y eso lo capitalizó Sporting Cristal, que marcaba el cuarto tanto de la velada con una nueva anotación de Gonzales.
En la próxima fecha los celestes enfrentarán a Sport Boys mientras que Binacional tratará de recuperarse ante Sport Huancayo.
