El cuadro del atacante peruano, que fue suplente en el encuentro, pudo sostener el juego en la primera parte, donde logró resistir y jugarle de igual a igual a un equipo con mayores pergaminos e individualidades.
Ya para el segundo tiempo, el Athletico Paranaense hizo valer su mayor jerarquía y desde el arranque comenzó a marcar diferencias, teniendo como figura a Jadson, quien en menos de cinco minutos marcó un doblete.
El Juventude trató de reaccionar y con finalidad de aumentar su volumen ofensivo, su entrenador dispuso varios cambios, entre ellos el ingreso de Fernando Pacheco a los 84 minutos, sin embargo, ello no fue suficiente para desequilibrar.
Y por el contrario, pese a la presión de los locales por descontar, llegó el tercer tanto del Athletico Paranaense por intermedio de Nikao, quien de esta manera sentenciaba el encuentro.
Con la derrota, el Juventude se queda con un punto luego de las dos primeras fechas del Brasileirao. En la próxima jornada le tocará visitar a uno de los clubes históricos del fútbol brasileño como lo es Santos.
