CONMEBOL confirmó la fecha de inicio y el fixture completo de la próxima edición de la Copa América, la misma que se realizará por primera vez en dos países (Argentina y Colombia).
La Selección Peruana ya conoce su calendario teniendo que debutar el 18 de junio contra el último campeón, Brasil, en la ciudad de Cali. Tras ello, se verá las caras con Colombia (21/06) y Ecuador (24/06) en la misma ciudad de su primer compromiso, cerrando su participación en la fase de grupos el 28/06 contra Venezuela, en Medellín.
Para esta edición de la Copa América, CONMEBOL consideró oportuno dividir la participación de la “bicolor” y las demás delegaciones en los países más cercanos a su ubicación geográfica, quedando 13 partidos programados en Argentina y 15 en Colombia. Cabe destacar que el certamen iniciará el domingo 13 de junio con el choque entre Argentina y Chile a disputarse en el estadio Monumental de Buenos Aires.
La gran final del certamen de selecciones más importante de nuestro continente se desarrollará el 10 de julio en el estadio Metropolitano de Barranquilla. El choque por el tercer lugar también se dará en Colombia, siendo el Campín de Bogotá el recinto que albergará dicho duelo.
