Se hizo oficial el llamado de 10 jugadores más a la lista preliminar de la Selección Peruana que pueden estar presentes en la Copa América. Con eso se amplía a 60 los futbolistas que pueden ser tomados en cuenta por el técnico Ricardo Gareca para el torneo continental.

Los futbolistas convocados por el entrenador argentino son Alejandro Duarte (Sporting Cristal), Jefferson Nolasco (César Vallejo), Gianfranco Chávez (Sporting Cristal), Ricardo Lagos (Alianza Lima), Johan Madrid (Sporting Cristal), Fernando Pacheco (Juventude de Brasil), José Rivera (Cusco FC), Kevin Sandoval (Cienciano), Matías Succar (Sport Club Lask) y Jairo Concha (Alianza Lima).

Hay que recordar, que semanas atrás se presentó una lista de 50 futbolistas, todos con la expectativa de disputar la Copa América, que se desarrollará ahora en Brasil. Ricardo Gareca deberá decidirse, tras los partidos de Eliminatorias, a qué elementos tomará en cuenta para el certamen a disputarse en junio.

Cabe mencionar, que el grupo de la Selección Peruana en la Copa América está conformado por: Brasil, Colombia, Venezuela y Ecuador.
