Los rosados vuelven a meterse en zona de clasificación para la Copa Sudamericana.
El inicio fue algo comprometedor para los porteños, ya que los de Sullana dispusieron de un penal en los primeros minutos para abrir el marcador, pero el portero Patricio Álvarez contuvo bien el disparo del colombiano Víctor Perlaza.
Dicha atajada pareció animar al resto de sus compañeros. Kevin Alarcón apareció con un gran disparo que significó el primer tanto de la tarde y el primer festejo de los jugadores de Sport Boys.
Alianza Atlético no tuvo poder de reacción y los rosados aprovecharon ello para liquidar el partido en esa primera parte, esto gracias a un doblete de Joao Villamarín, su hombre gol en la Fase 2 de la Liga 1.
Con los tres goles de ventaja, Sport Boys jugó de forma bastante tranquila en la segunda parte y se dedicó a cuidar el balón, aunque perdió profundidad en ataque lo que impidió que aumentaran los goles en su cuenta.
Recién en el final del partido, Diego Saffadi marcó el gol del honor para el Alianza Atlético, que a diferencia de los chalacos que sueñan con ir a un torneo internacional, luchan por mantener su categoría en la Liga 1.
