En una nueva edición del ‘Clásico Moderno’, Sporting Cristal venció 1-0 a Universitario de Deportes en el Estadio Nacional por la fecha 5 de la Fase 1. El único gol de la jornada dominical llegó en los pies de Alejandro Hohberg, quien, de penal a los 15 minutos, cumplió la inexorable ‘ley del ex’ y dio tres puntos vitales al equipo “celeste” que consigue cinco victorias consecutivas en el torneo.
En una jugada algo cuestionada llegaría el primer gol a favor de los dirigidos por Roberto Mosquera. La acción llegó luego de una falta dentro del área de parte de Federico Alonso sobre Omar Merlo. El zaguero cogió ligeramente al jugador ‘rímense’ que cayó al gramado y sin pensarlo dos veces el árbitro principal, Michael Espinoza, decidió cobrar la pena máxima. Alejandro Hohberg cumpliría la ‘ley del ‘ex’ mandando a guardar el esférico al travesaño derecho del arco defendido por José Carvallo.
Ello en cambio no llevó a que Universitario renuncie a su libreto y siempre intentó sumar nombres en su frente de ataque. Sin embargo, no contaban con la figura del portero Renato Solís, quien estuvo en una tarde brillante y sacó dos ocasiones bastantes claras; la primera a un disparo de Jorge Murrugarra y en una segunda instancia a Luis Urruti. Pero, si Universitario contó con ocasiones, Cristal no se quedó atrás y pudo haber conseguido aumentar la cuenta antes de irse al descanso, pero la falta de tranquilidad les terminó jugando en contra.
Ya en la segunda parte, la ocasión más clara sin dudas fue para los ‘cremas’, que pudieron empatar. La tuvo Enzo Gutiérrez quien luego de ser asistido por Urruti terminó disparando de zurda; pero, su remate se fue desviado por poco.
Con el marcador a favor, Cristal trató de ser más cauteloso y apostar por la velocidad de sus ingresados Washington Corozo e Irven Ávila para poder concretar de contra. El marcador en cambio no se movería más, y el 1-0 sería el negocio perfecto para la visita, que respira pensando en la Copa Libertadores.
Con esta victoria, Sporting Cristal consigue 15 puntos en el Grupo B, siendo líder único con puntaje perfecto. Mientras que, Universitario de Deportes queda con cuatro unidades en la sétima casilla del Grupo A.
