Sporting Cristal retornó a la senda del triunfo tras derrotar 4-3 a Binacional en el estadio Monumental con goles de Nilson Loyola, Percy Liza, Jesús Castillo e Irven Ávila. Gracias a este resultado, el equipo de Roberto Mosquera se puso a nueve puntos de Alianza Lima en la Fase 2 y acortó distancias en el Acumulado, a falta de nueve por jugar. 

Cristal y Binacional disputaron un entretenido y reñido encuentro en el coloso de Ate. Tal es así que las oportunidades de gol no tardaron en llegar. El cuadro celeste inició mejor las acciones y rápidamente se volcó sobre terreno contrario en busca de la apertura del marcador. Sin embargo, fue el conjunto puneño el primero en marcar.

Binacional se puso en ventaja con un gol en propia puerta del uruguayo Alejandro González cuando transcurrían los 29'. Ya en el complemento, Sporting Cristal adelantó sus líneas y rápidamente encontró el empate gracias a un tanto de Nilson Loyola al minuto 56'. 

Dos minutos más tarde, Percy Liza venció la resistencia puneña con un remate de cabeza tras una gran asistencia de Irven Ávila. Posteriormente, los bajopontinos encontraron el 3-1 por intermedio de Jesús Castillo a los 65 minutos. Por su parte, Binacional, herido en su orgullo, no bajó los brazos y acortó distancias luego de una conquista de Johan Arango.

Más adelante, Sporting Cristal volvió a aumentar la cuenta a los 86’, esta vez, por obra de Ávila, quien se convirtió en la figura del encuentro. Finalmente, Marlon de Jesús desperdició un disparo desde los doce pasos a los 88', mientras que Ángel Ojeda marcó el 3-4 final al 90+1'.
