No han sido semanas sencillas para Universitario, hay que recordar que desde Ate anunciaron que fueron golpeados por el COVID-19, por lo que se suspendió el partido ante UTC, correspondiente a la fecha 3 de la Liga 1.
Incluso, desde el club, a través de un comunicado, informaron que los entrenamientos se suspendieron por más de cinco días. Desde el último lunes, los trabajos volvieron en tienda crema y, de a pocos, se van sumando algunas piezas del primer equipo. Luis Urruti, Federico Alonso, Hernán Novick y Aldo Corzo fueron los elementos que se dejaron ver en las prácticas matutinas del cuadro estudiantil que ya se prepara para volver a disputar el campeonato local.
De esta forma, Universitario va dejando todo listo para lo que será su duelo contra la Universidad San Martín, compromiso que ha sido programado para el próximo jueves 15 de abril, en el estadio Iván Elías Moreno de Villa El Salvador, desde las 3:30 p.m. Ángel Comizzo sabe que la victoria no es negociable, por lo que utilizará a sus mejores piezas desde el pitazo inicial de la contienda para quedarse con los tres puntos, después de empatar en el debut con Melgar y caer en la segunda jornada contra Cantolao.
