UTC de Cajamarca pudo celebrar por primera vez en la temporada 2021, luego que venciera por 3-1 a FBC Melgar este jueves, en el Estadio Alejandro Villanueva. El ‘Gavilán del Norte’ fue 100% efectivo frente al arco y de la mano de Gaspar Gentile, consiguió tres puntazos en el marco de la fecha 4 de la Fase 1 de la Liga 1.
Un duelo en el que los dirigidos por Pablo Garabello no necesitaron hacerse del balón o generar las ocasiones más claras, pues les bastó con estar finos en el toque final dentro del área, o incluso fuera de ella, para sumar sus primeras tres unidades en el torneo.
Y es que cuando llegaban los 39 minutos, Gerardo Gordillo ganó en viveza a la defensa rival y al centro de Josué Estrada; de cabeza puso el primero de la noche en Matute.
En los segundos 45′ el libreto no cambiaría mucho y la tendencia se repetiría, es decir, era Melgar el que dominaba las acciones a propio placer pero eso de poco sirvió porque en el tramo final no pudo resolver, dándoles vida a los cajamarquinos.

Sin embargo, todavía había tiempo para más y en una cuestión de aprovechamiento, el técnico decidió mandar el cambio de Miguel Curiel por Blanco a los 85′. En ese sentido, tan solo dos minutos después y ante un mal rechazo de Melgar, Gentile dejó solo al ‘9’ quien solo tuvo que definir para el 3-0. No tardaría mucho y Jhony Vidales, otro ingresado aunque para el equipo arequipeño, terminó descontando a los 87 minutos.
Con este resultado, UTC alcanza el quinto lugar de la tabla del Grupo A con cuatro unidades. Mientras que, FBC Melgar cae a la cuarta casilla con cinco puntos.
