En el año 2019, la escuadra amarilla también eliminó al cuadro crema del certamen, al imponerse en la tanda de penales. Asimismo, por la fase de grupos del mismo torneo de ese año, lo había goleado por 3 a 0.
En esta ocasión, Universitario de Deportes volvió a tener demasiados problemas para imponer su ritmo sobre un Coopsol bastante sólido en defensa y también en el mediocampo. La escuadra que juega en Chancay, trabajó bien en la recuperación del balón y eso le ayudó a pasar pocos apuros en defensa.
Para el segundo tiempo, el equipo amarillo adelantó algo más sus líneas y ello le permitió ganar más profundidad, comenzó inquietar más a la defensa crema, hasta que Maximiliano Zárate apareció con golpe de cabeza para marcar el tanto de la noche.
Pese a estar con el marcador en contra, Universitario de Deportes no ofreció mayor reacción y no dispuso de mayores ocasiones para poder emparejar la cuenta, por el contrario, pudo recibir otro gol si los delanteros de Coopsol hubiesen estado más afinados.
El tiempo acabó y Universitario de Deportes; al igual que Alianza Lima, Cienciano y Alianza Universidad, fue eliminado de la copa Bicentenario por un representante de la Liga 2.
