En la tanda de los penales fue el arquero Ruíz quien con toda su experiencia logró atajar el tiro de Hernán 'El Charapa' Rengifo, dejando a Neil Marcos con la responsabilidad de que anote el quinto y decisivo disparo, que le dio el pase a cuartos de final de la Copa Bicentenario a Atlético Grau de Piura.
De ahí en más, el cuadro norteño esperará al ganador del duelo entre Deportivo Coopsol y Sport Chavelines.
