Desde Bolivia, el periodista argentino, Agustín Suárez, señaló que el asistente técnico de la Selección Peruana está en los planes de cuadro de The Strongest.
Esto se dio a conocer mediante las redes sociales de esta periodista argentino, en donde menciona que es una de las alternativas para dirigir al equipo "Aurinegro".
"En The Strongest surgió el nombre de Nolberto "Ñol" Solano como alternativa para DT. Actualmente es ayudante de campo de Ricardo Gareca en la Selección peruana"
Luego, agregó: "Lo acompañaría el recordado Rubén Darío Gigena y un ex jugador del Tigre y la selección como director deportivo".
Actualmente Solano se desempeña como asistente del técnico Ricardo Gareca y anteriormente tuvo a su cargo la selección peruana Sub 23 que participó en los Juegos Panamericanos. También dirigió a Universitario de Deportes (2012), José Gálvez (2013) y el Internacional de Toronto.
