De esta manera, el cuadro de Pacasmayo se medirá en cuartos de final al Atlético Grau de Piura.
El inicio del partido parecía ser prometedor para el elenco de Coopsol, que durante los primeros minutos tuvo el control del balón y metió en su campo a su rival liberteño, sin embargo, un descuido en defensa le terminó costando caro.
Y es que a través de un penal llegó el primer gol del partido y de Sport Chavelines. Israel Kahn lo ejecutó, el arquero desvió, pero Kevin Santamaría estuvo presto para aprovechar el rebote y romper el cero en el partido.
Deportivo Coopsol trató de retomar las acciones, pero estuvo lejos de ser seguro en defensa, lo que aprovechó el conjunto norteño para ampliar su ventaja por intermedio de Luis Aguirre.
Sport Chavelines parecía estar resolviendo la llave con una inesperada tranquilidad y facilidad, pero en el segundo tiempo llegaría la reacción del conjunto que hoy actuó de color rojo, primero con el descuento de Robinson Alzamora y luego con el transitorio empate de Félix Espinoza.
Deportivo Coopsol pasaba a ser nuevamente dominador del compromiso, pero tal como ocurrió en el primer tiempo, cuando mejor hacía las cosas, llegaba la sorpresa de los de Pacasmayo, que volvían a ponerse en ventaja con una anotación de Marlon Ruiz Díaz.
Los norteños de Chavelines supieron mantener su ventaja hasta el final, para concretar así su clasificación a los cuartos de final de la Copa Bicentenario, donde los espera el vigente campeón del torneo, el Atlético Grau.
