Cerrando la jornada dominical, Sport Chavelines se impuso a Sport Huancayo, avanzando a los octavos de final de la Copa Bicentenario 2021. Tras empatar en 90 minutos, el cuadro de Pacasmayo supo ser más efectivo en los penales (6-5) y continuará en competencia.

Encuentro parejo el que se vivió en el Estadio de San Marcos, con dos combinados que salieron a proponer desde el primer minuto. En ese aspecto, una de las ocasiones más claras estuvo sobre los 25 minutos en los pies de Marcos Lliuya, quien luego de encontrar su perfil sacó el remate fuerte. Todo parecía estar consumado y sería la tanda de los penales los que finalmente decidió la suerte de estos dos rivales. En ese aspecto, fue el dueño de casa el que estuvo más efectivo; aunque sufrió con el remate de Diego Mayora.

No obstante, las figuras de los porteros crecieron y fue ahí que el portero Hernández mostró carácter para influenciar en dos atajadas, la última de Giancarlo Carmona que le dio a Sport Chavelines el pase a octavos de final de la Copa Bicentenario.

Con este resultado, los dirigidos por Jesús Oropeza se medirán a Deportivo Coopsol en su objetivo de alzarse con el trofeo.
