Con un 'doblete' de Alejandro Hohberg el cuadro 'celeste' sacó ventaja en la llave y se ilusiona con seguir avanzando en la competencia internacional.
La Máquina Celeste logró una sufrida victoria en el Estadio Nacional de Lima que, no obstante, deja abierta la serie de octavos de final, cuya definición se producirá la próxima semana en Sarandí.
Hohberg garantizo la victoria al campeón peruano con dos goles, uno de penalti a los 89 minutos y otro cuando transcurría el octavo minuto añadido.

Hohberg se disputó la dirección del Cristal con Gonzáles, pero los esfuerzos no fueron suficientes en los primeros 45 minutos de juego. Para la segunda parte los dirigidos por Sergio Rondina se volcaron al ataque, lo que sorprendió a los locales.
La presión sirvió a los visitantes para irse adelante. El delantero Nicolás Mazzola, que ingresó por Bruno Sepúlveda, abrió el marcador a los 70 minutos con un remate de zurda tras un centro al área de Nicolás Castro.
Cristal igualó con un penalti. Hohberg lo cambió por gol a los 89 minutos. Y nueve minutos después, Hohberg soltó un remate con pierna izquierda que selló la victoria de Cristal.
