Universitario de Deportes volvió al triunfo al vencer por 2-1 a Alianza Atlético en el Estadio Iván Elías Moreno. El debutante Leonardo Rugel le dio la victoria a conjunto crema. Un partido que estuvo en duda debido a la irrupción de barristas de la ‘U’ a su concentración en Campo Mar.

Una semana nada fácil para los dirigidos de Ángel Comizzo que llegaban de caer goleados 3-0 ante Defensa y Justicia, por el Grupo A de la Copa Libertadores. Eso mismo, obligaba al equipo de Ate a tener que sumar de a tres en el torneo local, aparentemente, sin mayor margen de error.

Con muchos recambios de por medio, la ‘U’ pudo encontrar tempranamente la ventaja. Se jugaba apenas a los 10 minutos, cuando un centro enviado al área de Nelson Cabanillas terminó siendo anotado en propia su puerta por Alberto Rodríguez.

Sin embargo, ello no fue impedimento para que en la parte complementaria Alianza Atlético salieron con otra actitud para enfrentar a su rival de turno, siendo clave el ingreso del experimentado volante Rinaldo Cruzado que ayudó a encontrar espacios para hacer daño. De esta forma, ya avisaban en apenas cinco minutos del segundo tiempo con una genialidad de Lugo quien ‘colocó’ el balón para intentar dejar colgado a Patrick Zubczuck; sin embargo, el portero sacó la mano providencial para dejar con el grito ahogado al atacante.

No pasaría mucho tiempo cuando de un tiro de esquina Azmahar Ariano (65′) ganó por arriba y de cabeza la colocaría al primer travesaño de la portería de Universitario.

Pero, aún quedaba tiempo para más y a los 72 minutos luego de un tiro libre el joven debutante Leonardo Rugel, logró ganar por arriba y de un soberbio frentazo dejó sin opción al arquero Barrios, quien pese al esfuerzo de estirarse, nada pudo hacer; decretándose el 2-1 definitivo.

Con este resultado, Universitario de Deportes corta la mala racha de tres encuentros al hilo perdiendo y consigue el sexto lugar -con un partido pendiente ante UTC- sumando siete puntos en el Grupo A de la Liga 1. Mientras que, Alianza Atlético cae a la octava casilla con apenas tres unidades.
