DC United pudo levantar cabeza en la MLS y goleó en condición de visita al Inter Miami por 3 a 0. Una novedad en el representativo de Washington fue la presencia de Yordy Reyna, quien ingresó en el segundo tiempo.
El delantero peruano, quien se perdió la primera fase del torneo norteamericano por lesión, ingresó al campo de juego en el minuto 80 y trató de estar bastante participativo en el tiempo que restaba en el compromiso de juego.
El DC United propuso un juego vertical en la primera parte, lo que le permitió sacar dos goles en los primeros 21 minutos. Ola Kamara y Paul Arriola fueron los autores de los primeros tantos, lo que le permitió al conjunto visitante manejar de forma más tranquila las acciones.
