Cerrando la jornada 7 de las Eliminatorias Qatar 2022, la Selección de Brasil venció este viernes 2-0 a Ecuador en el Estadio Beira-Rio, en Porto Alegre. Con un magnífico segundo tiempo, la ‘verdeamarela’ celebró con anotaciones de Richarlison y Neymar.
Los de Tite empezaron anonadados, pero supieron reaccionar en la segunda parte. Brasil parecía desconectada, sin ideas con Casemiro, Fred y Lucas Paquetá en el medio. Gabriel Barbosa, que volvía a ser titular con la selección cinco años después, se mostró voluntarioso, corrió al espacio. El problema era que el balón no llegaba con claridad al área rival.
La oportunidad más clara que tuvo el goleador del Flamengo en la primera mitad la desbarató Domínguez. La ‘Canarinha’ dominaba, aunque el cuadro de Gustavo Alfaro no pareció estar incómodo. Se cerraba bien y ató en corto a Neymar, la mayoría de las veces con dureza. Al filo del descanso, Brasil metió una marcha más. Gabigol vio un gol suyo bien anulado por fuera de juego y Neymar probó desde lejos a Domínguez, que despejó de una manera poco ortodoxa.
En la reanudación, Brasil mostró otra cara radicalmente diferente, más activo, más rápido. Neymar y Richarlison reclamaron sendos penaltis. Ni el árbitro ni el VAR vieron nada. Tite movió el banquillo por primera vez en el minuto 62. Sacó del campo a Fred y metió a Gabriel Jesus. Tres minutos después llegó al tanto de Richarlison tras un pase y una recuperación de Neymar. El atacante del Everton se fue directo a abrazar a su técnico. Vestuario unido ante las adversidades.
A partir del gol, Brasil se soltó. Gabigol pudo poner el segundo en diversas oportunidades. No era su día. Al final Neymar sentenció de penalti pitado por el VAR tras una falta sobre Gabriel Jesús.
El exjugador de Santos y Barcelona falló en un primer momento la pena máxima. Pero Domínguez se adelantó, el VAR lo vio y mandó repetir el penalti, donde esta vez sí convirtió el penal.
Tres puntos más y paso perfecto de Brasil en estas Clasificatorias donde en la próxima fecha tendrá que visitar Paraguay. Por el lado de Ecuador, recibirá en Quito a la Selección Peruana.
